APTA President Joins the Launch of Thailand CCTV Security Guidelines (TCSG) to Strengthen CCTV Cybersecurity in Thailand
On 29 September 2026, Srangrath Hatthawong, President of the Asia-Pacific Trade Association (APTA), participated in the launch of the Thailand CCTV Security Guidelines (TCSG), jointly organized by Thailand’s National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) and the Thai Intelligent CCTV Association (iCA), under the theme “Together We Build Trust — From Guidelines to Implementation.”
The event presented key approaches and recommendations under the TCSG to strengthen the cybersecurity of CCTV systems in Thailand. These cover system design, pre-procurement requirements, installation and operation, connectivity with networks, Cloud and AI, as well as data and system management throughout the entire lifecycle.
Srangrath also participated as a member of the TCSG Working Group and served as moderator of the panel discussion “From Guideline to Implementation — Building Thailand’s Trusted CCTV Ecosystem.” The discussion focused on translating the guidelines into practical implementation, covering policy, supply chain and operations, as well as Cloud and AI technologies, with the shared goal of building a secure and trusted CCTV ecosystem in Thailand.
The approach emphasizes End-to-End Ecosystem Security, extending beyond the camera itself to include networks, Cloud infrastructure, user account and data management, procurement and installation, maintenance, and stakeholders throughout the supply chain. The objective is to ensure that cybersecurity is continuously managed throughout the entire system lifecycle.
For APTA, participation in this initiative reflects the association’s support for stronger collaboration among businesses, government agencies, and industry stakeholders, particularly in the areas of digital technology, standards, and cybersecurity, which are becoming increasingly important to business, trade, and investment in the digital era.
Looking ahead, APTA is working toward expanding its trade networks and partnerships across the Asia-Pacific region, with a focus on promoting the exchange of knowledge, technology, and business opportunities between Thailand and international partners. This direction aims to strengthen the capabilities of Thai businesses and foster practical international cooperation that can be further developed in the future.
